Meet Our Procrastinate Illustrator: Elisa Talentino

A monthly theme inspires new conversations and ideas that we otherwise wouldn’t think about. At our virtual events, speakers are invited to share a story around the theme and what it means to them. After a month, we are excited to see the talks and inspiration that are born out of the theme.

Given that these monthly illustrations are at events all around the world, it’s only right that we get to know the illustrator. It is a tradition at CreativeMornings to work with an artist in our community to create an illustration for the monthly theme.

The global theme for April is Procrastinate. It was illustrated by Elisa Talentino of Turin, Italy!

We’re excited share some of our favorite artworks created by Masha.

About Elisa Talentino

Elisa Talentino was born in Ivrea (Turin, Italy) in 1981.

She is an Italian artist working with illustration, painting, printmaking and animation.

She realized illustrations for The New York Times, The Washington Post, Yale University Press, La Repubblica, Il Corriere, La Stampa, Mondadori, Einaudi, Bur-Rizzoli, Bompiani, Il Saggiatore, Edizioni e/o, Topipittori, Goethe Institut amongst many others.

In October 2020 she released her first children’s book, with text by Sara Gamberini, published for the Topipittori publishing house.

She lives and works in Turin.

“The illustration I made for the April theme suggests that procrastination is not always bad, sometimes it can do well to give up everything and take refuge in a tree, like a contemporary "Baron in the trees” (the famous character created by the Italian writer Italo Calvino), and then return to everyday life with a new point of view.“
