Morning Person of the Day: Tess Braden
Meet Tess Braden (@t.braids), digital designer and @melbourne_cm speaker liaison!
What is your first and/or most meaningful CreativeMornings experience?
My most memorable CreativeMornings would be emailing someone I really admire to ask if they would like to speaker at an event and getting a big fat yes from them! And then getting to meet them and realising that they are super chilled and really lovely. Aside from that I love volunteering at CreativeMornings Melbourne and seeing so many familiar smiling faces each month.
Describe the work that you do and the impact you’re trying to make.
I am a digital designer, I get to work on the digital experience for a budget airline company. I love trying to make a difference by improving the experience that absolutely everyone has an opinion on and quite often it’s not a positive one. But slowly that is changing :)
What are your ideal conditions for your creativity?
I am without a doubt a morning person, I sometimes surprise myself with the amount of things I can achieve before 9am but on the odd occasion 6pm can be my magic hour. Either way it's headphones on or complete silence with minimal people around that keeps me focused.
What would you consider your superpower? Why and how do you use it for good?
I think my superpower is joy. I can turn almost any situation into a positive one with smiles on faces. I have always loved changing a dull situation into something where everyone can laugh and have fun.

I love learning about dreams. I wish I was called the dream queen.
