Meet Our RHYTHM Illustrator: Patrizia Stalder

Each month, CreativeMornings has a different theme for the talks given at local chapter events around the world. It is our tradition to work with an artist in our community to create an illustration for each monthly theme.

Our CreativeMornings/Basel chapter chose November’s exploration of RHYTHM and Patrizia Stalder created the accompanying illustration.

We’re excited to share some of our favorite artworks created by Patrizia and get to know her a bit!

About Patrizia Stalder

Patrizia Stalder is an illustrator and graphic designer based in Basel, Switzerland. Her style is characterized by a flair for naturalistic depictions, her versatility, and her love of graphic abstraction.

Artist’s Statement: “Patrizia Stalder from Switzerland discovered her passion of drawing at the age of 5 years. Ever since she spent a lot of her free time drawing and painting, accompanied by her twin sister. She graduated from art school in Basel at the age of 23. Nowadays she is a multi-faceted artist, working as a painter, illustrator and graphic designer. Her career brought her around the world. At the age of 19 she lived in Havanna for two years, where she studied painture at the Instituto Superior de Arte, as part of her studies in Switzerland. Ten years later she created her portrait series ‘Los Angeles Street Style Portraits’ during a time out in Los Angeles. That was the beginning of her career as an independent artist. Her work is influenced by her naturalistic drawing studies and her love for grafic abstraction. Patrizia Stalder likes to challenge herself again and again to further develop her creativity.”
