The third illustration in our series with SNAP. The quote from Mark Templeton’s talk was a collaborative project done by Keenan Kirk and Colton Ponto.

Both illustrators took on a colour — one red and one blue. If you look closely you can see that one is more hand-drawn with the other much more stylized. Also, as a bonus, the skull winks at you when you wear the glasses. Really cool.

Here’s our favourite quote from June’s talk with Blair Lebsack. We’ll be giving away one of these prints to a lucky attendee at this Friday’s talk.

Thanks to illustrator Victoria Wiercinski and the lovely screenprint from our friends at SNAP

The theme for July is SPACE! We have a great speaker lined up for our Friday 12th talk: Mark Templeton who is an amazing artist and great all around fella.

Blair Lebsack has run the kitchen at the esteemed Madison’s Grill, taught at NAIT’s Culinary Arts program and, most recently, launched Rge Rd: a series of elegant farm dinners where what’s on your plate grew inches from the table or was harvested from nearby ranches and lakes.
Now, after years of waiting, the mild-mannered Lebsack will open his first restaurant (also named RGE RD) this June.

Here’s our favourite quote from May’s talk with Glen Ronald. We’ll be giving away one of these prints to a lucky attendee at this Friday’s talk.

Thanks to illustrator Gabe Wong and the lovely screenprint from our friends at SNAP

Glen Ronald calls himself the ‘Chaos Whisperer’, and if you’ve ever seen his work you’d probably agree. Glen’s art, process and perspective are quite unique and we’re really looking forward to having him share more about that next Friday. He runs a studio just off of 118 Ave. at 11739 94th St. just by the Carrot coffee shop. He uses the space to host a number of shows and other events on the ave, usually in collaboration with a number of artists in Edmonton.

June’s theme is Food. Join us Friday, June 14 at Startup Edmonton to hear Blair Lebsack speak. Psst! He’s also making the eats!

Registration opens Monday, June 10th at 11am
