The CreativeMornings Moscow event in June 2014 was hosted by Garage Museum of Contemporary Art .Yuri Gordon, Russian designer, illustrator, typographer, engraver, one of the founders of the Letterhead studio told us how to achieve desired design results with micro means, how to work with the composition of a void and how limited technical possibilities become the reason for creation of font-legends.

Breakfast was provided by PiePoint, Dashiny Pirozhki, The Marc bakery, Biostoria. Coffee was made by Camera Obscura. Beautiful flower compositions and summer mood created by Dom de fleur. Books on creativity for the speaker and the guests were provided by Mann, Ivanov and Ferber. Beautiful posters on minimalism were designed by Yuri Gordon and printed by Demon Press. The CreativeMornings Moscow event in May 2014 was hosted by Garage Museum of Contemporary Art . Ilya Oskolkov-Tsentsiper, one of the founders of Afisha magazine and Strelka Institute for media, architecture and design, one of the new Gorky Park concept creators, spoke on creative freedom and why it is important to be free from the ready-made solutions and scenarios, why one should break the limits of the so-called “professional thinking” and how to design brands, places and products within the changing environment. Breakfast was provided by Soviet Dacha, PiePoint, Dashiny Pirozhki, Mon Petit Ami, Bite. Coffee was made by Camera Obscura. The CreativeMornings Moscow event in January was generously sponsored by"Zebra telecom" and hosted by DI Telegraph. Pavel Muntyan, one of the founders of the animation studio Toonbox, ex-producer of a flash cartoon series "Masyanya" and the author of the idea for a poplular animated web series Mr. Freeman, told us how childhood shapes consciousness and future cultural perception of a person and how the use animation brands can help forming what he calls a “New Human”. We are continuing our initiative and invite illustrators and everyone who loves to draw to come and sketch at CreativeMornings Moscow. In November our speaker was writer and poet Linor Goralik. A renowned illustrator Yana Frank has agreed to pick three best artists, internet magazine MyMoleskine is going to provide presents for them. Some more amazing works can be seen here.

We had an amazing speaker today at CreativeMornings Moscow. Linor Goralik, writer, poet and contemporary costume researcher told us about  BezGranits, a project that supports people with disabilities. Linor spoke on bravery and on why special clothing needs to be created for people with disabilities and how clothes can influence the perception of disabled people by our society and why designers are having such a hard time treating the topic, despite the existence of market interest in the collections.

Объявляем итоги конкурса рисунка, который мы провели на прошлом мероприятии Creative Mornings Moscow при поддержке журнала MyMoleskine.ru и иллюстратора Виктора Меламеда. Все 6 авторов (Алена Никитина, Анастасия Кислюк, Катерина Lime Blossom, Екатерина Екимова, Мила Силенина, Ольга Стариковская), приславшие нам свои работы, получают небольшой приз от MyMoleskine.ru. Ну а победителем стала Мила Силенина! Виктор Меламед обосновал свой выбор так: “По ее работам видно, что интересовало ее что-то из происходящего, а не процесс рисования - что, по моему мнению, первый необходимый признак классного скетча”. Кроме того, Виктор отметил скетч Ольги Стариковской. Мила и Ольга получат дополнительные призы от CreativeMornings Moscow. Награждение всех авторов пройдет на лекции CreativeMornings 8 ноября!

We had an amazing speaker in October at CreativeMornings Moscow. Eduard Boyakov, producer, theatre film director, founder of several theatre festivals, spoke on the  role of the modern theatre as a time marker, the term art and its linguistic and semantic connection to the word “artificial”, on the word “play” and it’s seeming connection to the theatre. For those of you who missed this wonderful event at the British higher school of design in Moscow - don’t worry, we are working on the video and will do our best to upload it for you as soon as possible!
