Dear Community,

Our theme for April is EMBER. It was chosen by our Poulsbo chapter in Washington and illustrated by Sarah Gordon.

The literal meaning of Ember is a small piece of burning or glowing coal or wood in a dying fire. But as a metaphor, it means so much more.

The connection between the Earth and fire is precisely our chosen metaphor, particularly as our event takes place two days after the global celebration of "Earth Day". We want to pay our own tribute to the Earth, led by Danielle Sagan, through an educational and interactive session.

Das Thema Ember wurde von unserer Ortsgruppe Poulsbo, Washington, ausgewählt und von Sarah Gordon illustriert.

Wörtlich bedeutet „Glut“ glühende Kohle oder Holz in einem sich erlöschenden Feuer. Als Metapher bedeutet es jedoch so viel mehr – und das werden wir miteinander erkunden!

Zwei Tage nach dem “Earth Day” findet unsere CreativeMornings Veranstaltung statt. Für uns Grund genug unseren Frühstuckvortrag mit dem globalen Thema “Ember” unserer Mutter Erde zu widmen.

💙Was für eine grossartige Veranstaltung hatten wir letzten Freitag im Museum für Gestaltung mit Tanya Rey als Referentin! Tanya gewährte uns einen Einblick in ihre kreative Welt, zeigte uns anschaulich ihre persönliche Herangehensweise und insbesondere auch, wie sie KI als Werkzeug bewusst nutzt, um ihr eigenes Potenzial zu erweitern. In ihren Augen sind Kunst und Design immer ein Spiegelbild dessen, wer wir sind – auch wenn stellenweise KI eingesetzt wird. Dear Community,

Our theme for February is CAMINO. It was chosen by our Oviedo chapter in Asturias, Spain and illustrated by Marta Vila.

Camino (pronounced Kah-Mee-Noh) is a Spanish word meaning “path” or “way.”

So, what path are you on?

If you’re feeling stuck, try moving your body to unlock your brain. Talk a walk, doodle, or sing. Soon, the way will reveal itself. And if you are feeling overwhelmed, slow down and focus on your next step.

You don’t have to know exactly where your path leads, just trust that you’ll learn what you need along the way. Wherever you are headed, we wish you, as they say in Oviedo, “buen camino.” May you have a safe and meaningful journey.

Unser Thema im Februar lautet «CAMINO ». Es wurde von unserer Ortsgruppe Oviedo, Asturias in Spanien, ausgewählt und von Marta Vila illustriert.

Camino (Kah-Mee-Noh ausgesprochen) ist Spanisch und bedeutet «Pfad» oder «Weg».

Auf welchem Weg bist du gerade unterwegs?

Wenn du dich festgefahren fühlst, versuch mal, deinen Körper zu bewegen, um dein Gehirn zu befreien. Geh spazieren, kritzle etwas oder sing. Bald wird sich der Weg zeigen. Und wenn du dich überfordert fühlst, mach langsam und konzentriere dich auf deinen nächsten Schritt.

Du musst nicht genau wissen, wohin Dein Weg führt, vertraue einfach darauf, dass Du unterwegs lernen wirst, was Du benötigst. Wohin Dein Weg Dich führt, wir wünschen Dir, wie man in Oviedo sagt, «buen camino». Möge Deine Reise sicher und sinnvoll sein.

Our speaker

Pascal Regli ist diplomierter Geograph, Verkehrsplaner und Mobilitätsberater. Nach Tätigkeiten in privaten Planungsbüros und langjähriger Selbstständigkeit, leitet er die Geschäfte von Fussverkehr Schweiz seit 2020. Seine berufliche Passion – attraktive, durchgehende und hindernisfreie Wege für die Schweiz – pflegt er auch privat und legt seinen Arbeitsweg von 15km einmal pro Woche zu Fuss zurück. Bei CreativeMornings wird Pascal uns über die spannenden Jane’s Walks berichten und darüber, wie wertvoll diese für die Städte und ihre Bewohner sind.

Pascal Regli is a qualified geographer, transport planner, and mobility consultant. After working in private planning offices and many years of self-employment, he has been managing «Fussverkehr Schweiz» since 2020. He pursues his professional passion—attractive, continuous, and barrier-free paths for Switzerland—in his private life as well, walking the 15 km to work once a week. At CreativeMornings Pascal will take us to the inspiring world of Jane’s Walks and we will learn more about their value for the cities and their residents.

🌟 We lived another inspiring CreativeMornings event at KinoKoni with Wild Sense on January, 23rd. Through a simple yet powerful practical guided exercise, Ya’ara Segal and Susanne König helped us experience what it truly means to really see and perceive another human being. It was impressive the connection we achieved with such a simple intervention.

💙 Thank you, Ya’ara and Susanne for such a meaningful and engaging morning. Thanks to our lovely attendees for your presence, participation and the thoughtful discussion. Thanks to Lia, Mia and the KinoKoni team for hosting us again there.

🌟 Ein weiterer wunderbarer Anlass fand mit CreativeMornings  im KinoKoni statt. Ya’ara Segal und Susanne König ermöglichten uns mit ihrer praktischen Intervention zu erkennen, was es bedeutet jemanden «wirklich» zu sehen und wahrzunehmen. Es war wirklich eindrücklich, was mit der simplen Intervention bewirkt werden konnte – wir alle konnten es deutlich spüren!

💙 Vielen Dank, Ya’ara und Susanne von WildSense für diesen tollen Anlass – die anschliessende ausführliche und tiefgreifende Diskussion ist ein guter Beweis, wie inspirierend dieser Morgen war. Vielen Dank an Lia, Mia und das Frame-Team, dass sie uns in diesem tollen Ambiente willkommen geheissen haben.

Dear CreativeMornings community in Zurich,

My name is Montse Ayats and I am the new chapter Host. I am originally from Barcelona but have been living in Switzerland for quite some time now. My passion for experience design and facilitation motivated me to re-launch this project.

We want CreativeMornings ZH to be a platform for creativity and passion, a space for learning, growing and connection. A place where everybody is welcome because everybody is creative. A place to feel like home but also to travel out of our comfort zone. We will grow with speakers from different fields and approaches who will expand our curiosity. We will make new friends in the coffee line and experiment with different formats.

Mein Name ist Montse Ayats und ich bien die neue Host. Ich komme ursprünglich aus Barcelona, lebe aber schon seit geraumer Zeit in der Schweiz. Meine Leidenschaft für Experience Design und Facilitation hat mich dazu bewogen, dieses Projekt neu zu starten. 

Wir möchten, dass CreativeMornings ZH eine Plattform für Kreativität und Leidenschaft ist, ein Ort zum Lernen, Wachsen und Vernetzen. Ein Ort, an dem jeder willkommen ist, weil jeder kreativ ist. Ein Ort, an dem man sich wie zu Hause fühlt, aber auch seine Komfortzone verlassen kann. Wir werden mit Referenten aus verschiedenen Bereichen und mit unterschiedlichen Ansätzen wachsen, die unsere Neugierde wecken werden, wir werden neue Freunde in der Kaffeeschlange finden und wir werden mit verschiedenen Formaten experimentieren.
