Cantook Station is a cloud-based ebook lending service that has already been implemented in hundreds of libraries in Canada and abroad, reliably offering patrons online access to a diverse catalogue of thousands of ebooks and helping libraries' digital collections thrive. Cantook Station was developed with libraries in mind, with the understanding that the modern library has a significant impact on its community at the grassroots level. If the role of today’s librarians is to accompany patrons in searching for relevant information from numerous sources, technology should not keep them from fulfilling their calling. On the contrary, it should foster it.
