Founders Station
A mixed-used redevelopment of the oldest commercial buildings in downtown Birmingham.
We repurposed a tired old parking lot to create a walkable urban plaza connecting busy 1st Ave N with historic, cobblestoned Morris Avenue. Along the plaza, we built retail storefronts, increasing leasable space in the formerly underutilized buildings and making the transition from 1st-to-Morris that much more enjoyable. The condos in the upper floors sold out within weeks, providing crucial housing options to young professionals who wanted to live downtown.
