Kelly’s love of writing, creativity and complex problem solving led to a career in creative communications within advertising as a Strategy Director. She's worked in Chicago, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Hawai'i over the past 16 years across a mix of advertising agencies, tech companies and nonprofits before calling Joshua Tree, California home. Some brands she's worked on include PAX, California Department of Public Health, LEGO, Google, Smartwool, Kona Brewing and Kalani Retreat Center. She has been self-employed for 9 of those years which has given her freedom to align her values to the projects she takes on, which this past year has spanned regenerative medicine, mental health, compassion research, new technology and craft whiskey. A totally different career path that sprung up as a result of a Near Death Experience was one in the healing arts. She practices CranioSacral Therapy and Somatic Experiencing as forms of trauma healing and integration that involve active imagination, intuitive listening, creating a space of presence for the client to be with and process challenging emotions, and inviting the possibility of an old pattern to be deconstructed and a new experience to emerge. She completed the Vital Psychedelic Training program in March 2024, having earned a Certificate in Psychedelic Therapies and Integration. She believes in the power of non-ordinary states of consciousness to create transformative healing and invites you to discover how any of the modalities she practices can serve you.
Transformative healing ...if you're curious, let's talk!
Connecting to new freelance opportunities as a Strategy Director, especially those relevant to health & wellness (mental health, emotional health, regenerative medicine, new tech solutions in this field), and education (platforms and solutions that focus on skill-building, creative problem solving, and empowerment through knowledge sharing). Also, connecting to new clients who are interested in the type of healing that moves them past their blocks to insights that shift physical and emotional pain patterns.
Living the life that's meant for you often means charting new territory: you're creating a new path through the wilderness, which requires significant energy, effort and clearing to make possible. All the risk will be worth it, since it will ensure your actions align to your dreams.
There are so many! Peter Levine for his compassion and creativity. Jack Kornfield for his heart-inspired wisdom. Brené Brown for her ferocious researching and for inspiring others to be braver and exposing the power of vulnerability. Dr. Dan Siegel, whose neuroscience research is demonstrating the complexity of the mind-body connection, starting the field of Interpersonal Neurobiology.

Here, I used to say "the healing arts" and in the years since, I've made it happen. See above!
