The power of design and collaboration can clean an ocean

Parley’s project of recycling and saving the oceans

About the speaker

This month, we're delighted to welcome designer Alexander Taylor – known to us as the man who designed an insanely cool take on the Adidas Ultraboost trainer using 72 kilometres of illegal deep-sea net plastic removed from the Southern Ocean.

Working with Parley – an organisation dedicated to raising awareness for the beauty and fragility of our oceans – he created a shoe that:

  • Highlighted what's going on in our seas
  • Had sneakerheads drooling
  • Helped clean up the oceans in the process

Alexander is someone who loves collaborating with experts in their field, creating more sustainable solutions to everyday problems and believes that collectively we can change things for the better.
