About the speaker
Compassionate interviewers, creative video journalists and passionate sports storytellers, Amanda and Brittany van Frankfoort founded Timeout with the Twins in 2017 after graduating from Carleton University’s prestigious Journalism program with high distinction. Their sports journalism company endeavours to share stories highlighting the humanity of sports and resilience of the human spirit.
As a two-woman team, The Twins enthusiastically take care of all levels of production for their videos — from inception to dissemination — including: pre-production, interviewing, filming, editing and producing.
The Twins endeavour to build meaningful relationships rooted in vulnerability, empathy, empowerment and a passion for sports. Welcoming people into their unique dynamic, The Twins embolden interviewees to champion themselves, share their heart, embrace the resilience in their scars and feel joy in their purpose.
Proudly, some career highlights include: three Super Bowl Media Weeks (LVII, LVIII, LIX) and one Super Bowl Game (LIX); Olympic and Paralympic Staging Camps with Swimming Canada; two Dallas Cowboys Pre-season Training Camps; Men’s World Indoor Lacrosse Championships; Women’s U19 World Lacrosse Championships; and more.
As lifelong athletes, when they aren’t producing videos The Twins enjoy playing football on co-ed and women’s touch football teams.
Amanda and Brittany hope each guest leaves an interview feeling like their heart knows the encouragement, empowerment and care of having a twin.

About the theme:
Our theme for March is PARALLEL.
It was chosen by our Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and illustrated by OLI, and is presented by our global partner Adobe.
Like train tracks receding into the distance, our lives eventually reach the end of the line. And for a large part of our journey, most people tend to live parallel lives. We go to school, hang out with friends, get jobs, and take care of our families.
But unlike those train tracks, our paths don’t run in straight lines. We can meet someone new at every turn. Look someone in the eye and smile. Reach across that gap between us and make a connection.
We may be living parallel lives. But we don’t have to go through them alone.
