Andrea “Angie” Chandler

Angie Chandler is a cultural arts strategist born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Angie’s mission is to cultivate culture to effect change. She is the creator and lead strategist behind Culture Mapping: San Diego, a data-driven initiative to increase visibility and access for historically excluded artists and organizations. A 1st generation American, Angie draws inspiration from her Jamaican and Panamanian heritage to inspire her work. Her time as an educator continues to fuel her work related to social practice art and program curation, advocacy, and arts equity. She’s worked in a variety of art spaces, increasing community engagement, curating innovative programming, introducing new voices to institutions. Angie is currently working as a manager in museums spaces, and a creative consultant based in Southern California.
