Animal Journal Circle
• – • New York, 10014
About this Club
Animal Journal Circle is a creative writing gathering where the Chinese Zodiac becomes a spark for reflection, imagination, and a little bit of magic.
First, we’ll spend some time with the Animal Archetype of the Month, talking about its qualities and quirks.
Then we’ll use creative prompts to explore what’s stirring beneath the surface and what kinds of animal wisdom our archetype of the month might be offering us.
Whether you come with pages full of thoughts or just a willingness to see where the animal trail leads, you are welcome.
✨WHAT TO EXPECT
✔️ Attendees can expect to learn about the meeting’s chosen animal archetype.✔️ To have around 25-30 minutes of solo journaling time.
✔️ Group discussion and reflection on their insights.
🎒WHAT TO KNOW OR BRING
✔️ A snack or beverage to stay hydrated.✔️ Your own notebook, paper, or journal, and something to write with. If you plan on drawing or doodling feel free to bring markers or crayons.
✔️ We’ll be meeting in a shared public space, where seating is first-come, first-served. Feel free to bring what you need to journal comfortably on your lap if needed.
ABOUT YOUR HOST
Hey everyone, I’m Anthony and I’m a writer, podcaster and a mentor.
I wanted to start this club as a way of bringing people together around writing. I hope through this time attendees can learn more about themselves and get inspired by playing with the concept of animals as a tool for insight and creativity and in their journaling practice.
