After being laid off as a visual effects artist, Anthony Lucero is forced to diversify his role by becoming a film-maker, focusing on story, character and acting. His film ‘East Side Sushi’ is about blending culture and gender, however this concept didnât immediately gel with the industry as theyâre stuck on action with lead male actors.
