Caithrin Rintoul is a tech entrepreneur and agrarian advocate, working at the intersection of the world's youngest and oldest technologies. Â
He's the founder of Provender, a Montréal-based startup transforming the food system by empowering farmers to grow more diverse, delicious and sustainable foods. Provender has won numerous awards in both technology and social innovation and works every day to empower farmers by creating the worlds first API for soil.
A leader of the local food movement, Caithrin has helped grow for some of the pioneering agtech companies in North America and Europe (Plantagon, Lufa Farms) and has given back to his beloved MTL by starting farmer's markets and fair food programs across the city. He is the co-founder of GrowFoodTech, a collaboration of startups helping to shape and define the future of food systems. He was recently featured in Québec business magazine Les Affaires' 30 under 30.
Passionate about startups, Caithrin has mentored dozens of young companies in product, user experience and logistics through his work at FounderFuel, the Founder Institute, and dozens of events throughout the startup community.
