About the speaker

To be resilient is to have the ability to withstand adversity and bounce back from difficult life events. While some people are more resilient than others, resiliency is a skill that can be learned. I believe finding a silver lining holds the key.

Born out of the hardship of the pandemic to become a silver lining for so many, Take Out Hunger is a nonprofit created by and for the local community to help neighbors facing food insecurity while supporting our restaurants through innovative partnerships.

Weaving together my involvement with Take Out Hunger with my own personal story, this talk explores how we can all learn to be resilient.

Carol Bridges is a fundraiser. For most of her adult life she has been raising money for good causes, beginning as the President of the PTO. She has raised hundreds of thousands of dollars for local nonprofits including The Seacoast Repertory Theater and now, as the volunteer fundraising coordinator for Take Out Hunger.
