Documenting the felt experience through the physicality of language.
Cheryl teaches us about the importance and politics of listening through an exploration of her work. Her projects center around giving individuals in various communities a voice to speak their truths through poetry, performance, and other mediums, helping us to better understand the realities of what our neighbors experience. Cheryl’s work inspires us to lift each other up, to give each other a platform to speak, to be more empathetic of each others’ truths, and learn about how we can be better at supporting each other in our communities.CreativeMornings/Chicago is hosted & organized by Jen Marquez and coordinated by Marlene Paez.
