Music keeps us honest. The more we tune in to our reactions to music, the more we tune into our own truths.

Chloe Cataldo encourages us to think about the way music intersects with how we trust, who we trust, and why it can at times be hard to trust. Music is powerful and it shapes our values, our beliefs, and how we walk in this world. In this talk, Chloe shares three themes - trusting the DJ, trusting the lyrics, and trusting the emotion.

About the speaker

Chloe Cataldo (DJ MAM) a true city girl at heart, was raised in Boston, MA, but even the woods of New Hampshire couldn't diminish her urban spirit. In 1996, she ventured to Nashua to pursue her education at Rivier University, and since then, New Hampshire has become her home.

Chloe dedicated several years of her career to non-profit organizations that aimed to break the cycle of poverty through support and education. Initially, she worked for a youth dropout prevention program, followed by a role in a program that provided assistance to adults interested in pursuing careers in healthcare.

In 2012, Chloe embarked on a new journey at the University of New Hampshire, where she joined the undergraduate admissions team on the student experience front. Her passion for providing educational opportunities to students from all walks of life continues to drive her work.

Beyond her professional endeavors, Chloe also thrives as DJ MAM, a local DJ who possesses a genuine knack for uniting people through the power of music. This year, Chloe and her wife Lindsay, started the DJ MAM scholarship which is open to students with a marginalized identity- this includes race, ethnicity, sexual orientation , religion gender identity or disability & awarded one graduating senior from Dover High School with this scholarship this past Spring.

Additionally, Chloe serves as a board member for the Seacoast Chapter of Black Lives Matter, further contributing to social justice causes close to her heart.

When she’s not at work or DJing, Chloe can be found at home with her family or stressing over The Boston Celtics as she is a true homebody at heart.
