Clarence Heyward

Clarence Heyward is an award winning fine artist (painter/collagist) based in Raleigh,NC. Heyward’s work examines his experiences and identity as a Black man, husband, and father living in the United States.

Heyward maintains an active exhibition schedule showing at galleries and museums nationwide. His work is featured and noted in several private and public collections including the City of Raleigh Municipal Art Collection. In 2019, Heyward was awarded a Brightwork fellowship at Anchorlight Raleigh and is a 2021 Regional Emerging Artist in Residence at Artspace in Raleigh, NC.
