Meet Marilyn and JS, the husband-and-wife duo behind ShrugMy Shoulder!

Beyond their shared passion project, Marilyn is a founder of Eterate Calligraphy and co-founder of SG Foodie Fam, while JS is a software engineer at a tech company.

After moving back to Singapore, while waiting for their first home, they embarked on their digital nomad journey through diligent planning and preparation.

Their digital nomad adventures brought them to 32 countries in four years while balancing full-time work. What started as a passion project is now a go-to platform for travel hacks, miles strategies, and tips for working on the go.

Meet Melody Byrd, the President of Black in Singapore (BIS), an affinity group that provides a welcoming and supportive space for Black expats navigating life abroad.

From rooftop parties to intimate dinners, BIS thrives as a lively, connected community through an active WhatsApp chat full of tips, encouragement, and everyday hacks.

Outside of work, she lives life out loud— dancing to Afrobeats, discovering new dining spots, or planning her next soulful adventure to Africa. Melody lives fully, leads boldly, and lifts others along the way.

Meet Ming Xia Ho, who made the 90/10 transition – from building global startup communities to finding homes around the world.

Previously championing entrepreneur tourism while enabling one million businesses at Draper Startup House, Xia now advocates for women’s empowerment through solo travel. She is currently on retirement year calibrating life, fueled by a curiosity to step into the discomfort zone and explore new territories. As an artist-at-large, she’s committed to doing one creative thing a day while scaling new heights and inspiring others to embrace bold adventures!
