Deniz Toprak

Deniz Toprak, Boğaziçi Üniversitesi Kimya mühendisliği bölümünü bitirdi. Mezun olduktan sonra kurumsal bir şirkette bir kariyere başlayan Toprak, bir süre sonra dalgaların peşinden giderek, Türkiye'den Sri Lanka'ya uzanan bir yolculuğa koyuldu. Dalga sörfü tutkusuyla Sri Lanka'da bir sörf okulu ve otel hayata geçirdikten sonra şimdi Ordu'ya, doğduğu yere köklerine dönerek Sri Lanka'da keşfettiklerini burada hayata geçirmeyi bekliyor. Yakında hayata geçecek dalga sörfü filmiyle gençlere yeni bir kapı, alternatif bir vizyon açma hayali kuruyor. Sri Lanka’da kısa prodüksiyonlar ve çeşitli sörfle ilgili çekimlerden sonra Karadeniz’de de sörfün hikayesinin filmini paylaşmak için doğduğu yer Ordu’ya dönüş yaptı. Karadeniz ile Karadenizli arasındaki mesafeye ve korkuya bir çözüm olabilecek dalga sörfü ile ilgili Ordu'da yeni bir sörf akademisi açarak oradaki gençlere geleceğe dair yeni bir heyecan sunmayı planlıyor.

Deniz Toprak graduated from Chemical Engineering department at Boğaziçi University. After a short corporate career, he landed in Sri Lanka following his dreams of living on an island with waves in the front yard. After establishing a surf school and hotel in Sri Lanka with his passion for surfing, he has now retured to Ordu, his place of birth, and expects to bring what he discovered in Sri Lanka to life here.

Deniz has a dream of opening a new window of thoughts and an alternative vision to young people with the movie about surf, that will soon come to life. After short productions and various surf-related shots in Sri Lanka, he's about to share the film of the story of surfing in the Black Sea. He plans to open a new surf academy in Ordu, which can be a solution to the distance and fear between the Black Sea and the Black Sea people, and to offer a new excitement about the future to the young people there.
