Through his own experience as a wheelchair user, Daan explores how design and creativity are key in making urban spaces more accessible.

Why are people with physical disabilities invisible in the city? Is our moral idea of inclusiveness enough, or are further steps needed? In his talk, Daan explores how creativity is a solution for people with physical disabilities through his own personal story.

About the speaker

Buffalo supporter at heart, business director at NTGent, previously head of the cabinet of former mayor Termont, seasoned in interim management, culture lover, advocate of social justice, wheelchair user. All these pieces came together in an open letter published on September 3rd 2021 in which Daan denounces the inaccessibility of his beloved Ghent, in an attempt to start a social debate about that which usually remains invisible.
