The Reality of Social Movements

Empathy is built in with every single human being.

The challenge with empathy is keeping people in empathetic states isn’t a long-term solution for most. We can use empathy to inspire emotion but we have to help them move that emotion to deeper care.

It feels good to belong to issues and causes.

We want to feel as if we can truly do something for somebody else.

Create a narrative that allows anyone to master the movement themselves.

Every time I do an act for somebody else, it is self-fulfilling, but it also brings me closer to the things that I care about later.
