About the speaker

Donatella Caggiano is an in-betweener.

After leaving her homeland in the Italian south at the age of seven, a twelve years career as a globe trotting executive in France and the United States and heterosexuality, she has now returned “home” to Italy. She works internationally as a human-centric strategy designer, communication expert and facilitator to support brands, organisations and communities transform the way they connect, impact and matter through creativity applied to belonging for non-binary change.

She is the creator and host of "The Design of Return", a bilingual podcast about personal stories of transit as told by the in-betweeners: people who live in between different cultures, countries, languages and identities. She writes the monthly newsletter “The Atlas” exploring placemaking, cultural geography and what it means to find a place to call home. She is a guest lecturer, speaker and regularly supports non-profit organizations.
