About the speaker
Ediz, Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar Üniversitesi’nde Felsefe okudu. Ardından Macaristan’a taşınıp Eötvös Lorand Üniversitesi’nde Mantık ve Bilim Teorisi alanında yüksek lisans yaptı. Doktorası aynı bölümde devam ediyorken kavram, kültür, isim, algı ve dahası üzerine hunharca konuşulan, Bence Abartılıyor isimli podcast programını yayınladı. Sonra da felsefenin abartıldığını fark edip İstanbul’a döndü.
Akademik alanda devam eden kariyerini ‘bir tık’ revize edip reklam sektöründe yazar oldu. Farklı ajanslarda gezdi. Şimdi @anda.misin isimli Instagram hesabının da ajansı olan Wiseslang’de Yaratıcı Direktör olarak üretmeye devam ediyor.
Ediz graduated in from Philosophy from Mimar Sinan Fine Arts University and has a Masters degree in Logic and Theory of Science from Eötvös Lorand University in Hungary. While he was working on his PhD in the same program, he created and hosted the endlessly talked about podcast, Bence Abartılıyor (I Think It’s Overrated), about concepts, cultures, perceptions and more. After all that, he realised philosophy was overrated, and returned to Istanbul.
He revised his continuing career in academia ‘just a tad’ and pivoted to being a copywriter in the advertising industry. He worked in many different agencies and currently works as the Head of Creative in Wiseslang, who is also the creator agency of the Instagram account @anda.misin.
