Ernest Kim wants to help you deliver innovation in the work you do every day.

From the profound (vaccine tech!) to the prosaic (self-sealing ketchup bottles!), innovations are more than ideas or new widgets. According to Ernest, an innovation is, “something that makes a person’s life better today than it was yesterday.” Based on his experience building Kicksology.net, leading innovations at Nike, and launching the ‘Learn, Make, Learn’ podcast, he’s distilled five principles for how you can think about and actually deliver innovation in your creative work. And if you need encouragement for why to embrace innovation during times of uncertainty, even if that’s when it seems risky, Ernest has thoughts for you too.

About the speaker

Ernest Kim is the co-host of podcast "Learn, Make, Learn" with Joachim Groeger. Two product geeks share qualitative & quantitative perspectives to help you make, better.

Previously, he ran Kicksology.net, a repository for his thoughts on sneakers, marketing, technology, travel, and food. He co-founded a Web-design start-up called 37signals, spent time as a global product line manager at Nike, a digital strategist at Wieden+Kennedy, and back at the Swoosh, helping to drive product and platform innovation as a global insights director.
