About the speaker

Gabi Jacobs is a stylish dressing track and field athlete from Bloomington-Normal, IL. She proved to be anything but normal as she excelled in discus at The University of Missouri, where she received a Bachelor’s degree in psychology and a Master’s degree in Education, focusing on Positive Coaching. After finishing her education at the University, Gabi continued to stay in Columbia, MO where she integrated herself into the community working at Lucky's Market, Pizza Tree, and transportation advocacy organization Local Motion. After taking a two-year hiatus from the professional track and field world, she decided to come back to sport with the determination to have fun in the process and to see where the sport would take her. In 2025, Gabi qualified for her first World Athletics World Championship, where she represented Team USA in Tokyo, Japan. Today, she works at Pizza Tree while focusing on giving more time into the sport to make future USA teams
