“Hortihop” in, we’re going plant shopping 🪴
Established and led by Heather O'Donovan, the founder of Hortihop, this Creative Mornings Club is grounded in Hortihop’s goal of educating plant killers, plant lovers, and the plant-curious alike about the basic tenets of caring for indoor plants, all while nurturing a joyful community of humans who love and appreciate the marvel of nature.
Do you dream of adding gorgeous, lush plants to your space but doesn’t know where to begin? Take some photos/videos of your space and bring them with you as we go plant shopping to create the plantscape of your dreams 😍

✨WHAT TO EXPECT
✔️ We’ll meet at a local NYC plant shop for plant and pot shopping;✔️ We’ll talk about different plant species and identify some good fits for each of our Club attendees, based on their photos & videos and additional info that they share;
✔️ We’ll chat about some of the best and hardiest plants that will be resilient in a versatile range of spaces — perfect for gift giving!
🎒WHAT TO KNOW OR BRING
✔️ Sunscreen, since we might be outside :)🍿 BYO SNACKS
We keep Clubs as free as possible to make sure anyone can attend. YAY! And… as a result, club hosts are carrying a lot of the financial weight of something like SNACKS. We know that snacks make any gathering so much fun… so we’re trying something new.👋 If you’re a snack fan, and you’d like to contribute, please bring a snack to share with your fellow Club goers. Nothing fancy. Just something that delights you. That’s it. See you there!
⏰ CLUB START TIME
We offer a 10-minute “Window of Arrival” time where you can get settled, share snacks, sign in, and chat with one another.👉 For example…If your Club start time is 1:00pm Expect to get things going around 1:10pm.
👉 We offer this flex window because we know folks are coming from many different places around town. With that said, please try your best to arrive before 10 minutes past the start time as the activities will be getting started then!
ABOUT YOUR HOST
I’m Heather, a classical singer and arts writer who fell head over heels into a second passion of indoor plants when the pandemic temporarily sidelined performing careers.
As Founder & CEO of Hortihop, I bring my passion for wellness, community, and storytelling to residential, corporate, and retail clients and the humans who engage with those spaces.
