Vanessa Grossl started “Savor: An Immigrant Entrepreneur Oral History Project” to document the stories of some Lexington’s leading immigrant culinary entrepreneurs, including Alma Kajtazovic (Sorella Gelateria), Lesme Romero (Lexington Pasta/Pasta Garage) and Ilias Pappas (Athenian Grill). In this panel discussion, we hear each of their stories on how they “ended up” in Lexington, KY, how they built new lives through their entrepreneurship, and how they’ve contributed to our creative and internationally-flavored culinary scene.
