About the speaker
Rev. Jasmine Beach-Ferrara is the Executive Director of the Campaign for Southern Equality and a minister in the United Church of Christ. She has been active in the LGBTQ movement since 2004 and founded CSE in 2011. She has written widely about LGBTQ issues in the South and is the author of a short story collection titled DAMN LOVE. Jasmine is also a County Commissioner in Buncombe County, NC. She grew up in North Carolina and lives with her wife, Meghann, and their son in Asheville.
