About the speaker

Jennifer Hubbard-Sánchez serves as Superintendent of Natural Areas for Lexington Parks & Recreation. In this role, she oversees outdoor, equine, and nature programs, as well as management of Lexington’s three “natural area” parks, Raven Run Nature Sanctuary, McConnell Springs Park, and Hisle Farm Park. Jennifer has a MS in Environmental Studies, a MA in Mexican Anthropological Studies, and a BA in Spanish.

Her passion is working with creative people to engage the public in interactive, minds-on experiences with the natural world, be it hiking, learning about bugs, trees, or water, or through volunteerism. Her goal is for all participants to understand more about the impacts of our actions and our built environment, and how we can each make a difference in keeping our surroundings healthy and productive for all life.
