Jess Miller, Program Director at Republic of Everyone and Independent Councillor at City of Sydney questions “Does Equality Even Exist?”
About the speaker
Jess Miller wears many hats. She is the Program Director at Republic of Everyone - a leading brand, sustainability and innovation company. She plays a lead role in an ambitious national program to improve urban green space by 20% by 2020.
Jess is also an Independent Councillor on Clover Moore’s team at the City of Sydney. She was first elected to Council in 2016, and is one of the youngest people to hold elected office at the City of Sydney. Jess was voted the Sydney Electorate's Woman of the Year in 2014 and was part on the prestigious list of Sydney Morning Herald’s Top 100 Most Influential People 2012
Jess is known for her creative and inclusive approaches to sustainability, strategy and innovation. Her past projects include curating speakers and food for TEDxSydney. She co-founded Grow it Local putting a great big veggie patch out the front of Melbourne Town Hall, The guerrilla style art gallery along Elizabeth Street and she worked as part of the team to launch the award winning Garage Sale Trail.
