Jonathan Jay Lee

Based in Hong Kong, Taiwanese-American born Jonathan Jay Lee is an award-winning illustrator who graduated with Departmental Honors in Illustration from Parsons School of Design in New York City. Lee’s clients have included Marvel Comics, Mercedes, Heavy Metal Magazine, San Miguel, Lamborghini, Honestbee, Lee Kum Kee, Ho Lee Fook, Urban Decay, Philip Morris and HSBC. With extensive industry experience, Jonathan is currently also the Professor of Illustration and Sequential Art at SCAD Hong Kong.

Lee has exhibited internationally from New York City to Tokyo and the UK. Lürzers Archive included Lee in the “200 Best Illustrators Worldwide” where he was the only illustrator to represent Hong Kong. Lee’s work has been featured in the South China Morning Post, Taipei Times, Cathay Pacific's Discovery Magazine, HK01, Esquire, Men's Uno, MAEKAN, Peninsula Magazine, and for the HK Tourism Board's Discovery Hong Kong videos. 

Shuttle bus transport: SCAD will provide a shuttle bus to and from campus for all CM attendees. Pick-up will be from Admiralty MTR station, exit B departing at 7:45am. Drop-off after the event will depart at 10am from SCAD to Admiralty MTR station. Please look for Sylvia and Nick from the CM team outside of exit B for guidance.

Campus tour: SCAD Hong Kong was recognised by the 2011 UNESCO Asia-Pacific Heritage Awards for Culture Heritage Conservation. There will be a 15 minute tour after the talk to explore and learn about the former North Kowloon Magistracy.
