To simplify, we must break down our reality into simple shapes and use them to rebuild the world that we would like to create.
About the speaker
"Simplicity is a process. We complicate before we simplify. We add before we take away. We binge before we purge. Through this process of elimination, we discover what is truly important to us," says Kenley Darling (she/her). Kenley is a mural artist and illustrator living on the seacoast of New Hampshire. She goes on to share:
"It is also in between the ebb and flow of this process where we experience moments of growth and grace, frustration and inspiration. To simplify, we must break down our reality into simple shapes and use them to rebuild the world that we would like to create. Discovering new designs and patterns from nothing but the pieces. Through my art, I lean into this opportunity. I play with the idea of forever and I marvel at the mysteries that surround us as we move."
Kenley believes in love & luck & the power of intention. Using simple lines and geometric shapes, she creates patterns, paintings, and experiences that are a direct reflection of these beliefs.
