KOU

Carl-Schurz-Haus, Deutsch-Amerikanisches Institut e.V.

part of a series on Local (lo·cal) | Resident/Native

About the speaker

Kaustav Majumdar (KOU) is an Indian-born, Germany-based contemporary artist and scenographer. Working between realism and abstraction, he coined the term Neo Vividism to describe his exploration of color, memory, and light. His paintings transform fleeting moments into vibrant emotional landscapes where perception and time dissolve into sensation.
KOU regularly appears at creative and cultural events across Germany, including Venice Design Week and Wurzel Festival, and has created live drawing and digital art experiences in Berlin and Freiburg.
