What you create thrives when it aligns with who you actually are.

Having NO IDEA how to begin and doing it anyway can be the BEST way. Krista Catwood is (mall)walking proof. In this vivacious talk, Krista shares how her eclectic path took her from union cement mason to Special Olympics coach to disco singing burlesque performer to mom and surrogate. And now, creator of the Food Court 5000 and Queen of the Escalator. Like all the women in her family, Krista has always been a maker; if she has a vision she can do it. She is comfortable in chaos, follows her intuition, and enjoys making sure other people can live how they want to. So when she wanted to exercise in a way she would enjoy, she began with her needs: costumes, a little ridiculousness, and social accountability. A weekly mall-walking community was born. Stroll with Krista to learn how even simple community rules like, “Wave at everyone,” weave a framework of participation, belonging, and fun. And whatever you’re dreaming of doing: Stop waiting for permission.
