About the speaker

Hello. Science, writing, and speaking have always been a part of my life. After earning my graduate degree in Behavioral Neuroscience and spending 16 years teaching science and co-directing one of the nation's leading Speech and Debate teams, I have founded NatureSays and co-founded The Professional Communicators. NatureSays is best described as the combination of Discovery Channel's Planet Earth and Stephen Covey's The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People--it borrows poignant examples from nature to teach us invaluable lessons. The Professional Communicators is a public speaking and personal presentation coaching business where my co-founder (Terry Rubin, a former award-winning producer for the PBS NewsHour) and I help individuals and groups become unforgettable public speakers and interpersonal communicators.
