Lala Panait speaks how curiosity is instinct, flexibility, openness, caring for others, happiness, a human nature

Lala shared with the audience her how curiosity determined her to explore more and discover her professional passions, how with curiosity she started to love this city and even the neighborhood she initially hated. How curiosity is based on instinct and helps you - and the creative community in general - to get out of the bubble.

About the speaker

Lala Panait arrived in Cluj 15 years ago, not forgetting about her deeper Balkan background. In love with this city and its people, her academic background is in Urban Anthropology which provided her a constant desire to discover more stories from here but in the same time cherishing them, bringing more light upon them and giving them back to the city itself. As a founder of Colectiv A association, she coordinates the community initiative in the biggest neighborhood of Cluj, La Terenuri-Spațiu Comun în Mănăștur/At the Playgrounds-Common Space in Mănăștur. She is digging after these urban whispers in many ways and with great joy, constantly learning from them also through her city guided tours – Trăiește Orașul/Live the City. The City (and its nature) is her playground and the Village is her peace. Being constantly curious and connected to these two elements means being aware of yourself.
