Lama Tassabihji on Free

Lama is a true citizen of the world. Growing up between Saudi Arabia, Switzerland, and
Lebanon, the creative lettering artist later spent over 14 years in Dubai where she
honed her multiple talents, love of pens and all things colorful while teaching at
elementary schools. Her other role as a mom of three also helped her realize the
importance of adding fun to chores.

After 10 years of teaching, and through self-taught hand lettering, Lama aimed to bring
back the child in every adult, simplicity to branding, and that special flair to visual
storytelling. All while promoting mindfulness during your breaktime, and spreading love
of coffee, fries, and the written word.

On most days you can find her in one of her favorite coffee shops scribbling away on
anything she can get her hands on, or otherwise lettering digitally! She is a designer
and letterer who seeks creativity in everything and everyone, and who loves to inspire
others.

She loves to explore new cities, a new café, or just the nooks and crannies of the park
around the corner – always envisioning how she can make everything prettier. Anything
from the pebble along the side of the trail that someone will stumble upon, or leaving
notes on mirrors. She always has multitabs open in her brain (and ipad!) and works
simultaneously on numerous ideas.

Lama has collaborated with many establishments to turn their walls or menu boards into
show-stopping pieces. Working on a wide range of media, she has personalized
invitations, logos, gifs, wood boards, avatars, digital posts, among other items, to
capture the mood of her clients that will you stop and admire the artwork and be
inspired to share.

Over the past three years in Switzerland, Lama has been an active part of the local
community of entrepreneurs, connecting with like-minded women, leading workshops,
and of course enjoying every season, writing on every leaf, and walking her way
through the Alps.
