Chef, Restaurateur and Entrepreneur

About the speaker

Chef, restaurateur, entrepreneur, visionary, TCU graduate, and Fort Worth native Lanny P. Lancarte, II is the owner of Righteous Foods, a clean eatery in the Museum District, CHOMP Catering, and Ground Control Consulting Services, offering culinary and foodservice consulting. He has been adding his own culinary spice, flavor, and influence to the Fort Worth restaurant scene since he was a child working alongside his family at Joe T. Garcia’s. As a 4th generation Fort Worth restaurateur, Lanny has parlayed his passion, education, and experience into his own successful restaurants. In 2002, before “pop-ups” was even a term, he created his own fine-dining experimental concept, Lanny’s Alta Cocina Mexicana, that served guests in a small dining room just off the pool area at Joe T. Garcia’s. He then followed his dreams and opened his first brick-and-mortar in the Cultural District in 2005, keeping the same name. In 2014, Lanny opened Righteous Foods, an all-day, clean-food cafĂ© serving breakfast lunch and dinner seven days a week in the same renovated house on W. 7th Street.
