About the speaker

Lénia Rufino was born in Lisbon, in 1979, and raised in the suburbs in the '80s.

She fell in love with books pretty early in life, thanks to not having siblings. Because she spent so much time by herself, books were a great company. She wrote her first short story at the age of 10 - that's when the writing bug hit her and she decided that she wanted to become a writer.

Fast forward to real life: being a writer is not easy, and she still needed a plan B.
She got a degree in Marketing & Advertising and has worked in this area since 2001 - I've worked as a project manager, account manager, copywriter, and proofreader. She's worked as an office manager since 2015 and loves her company and work environment. Does she love it? Yes. Do she plan on doing this for the rest of her life? No.

In Mid-March she'll release her first book and a few days later she'll spend the morning with you at CreativeMornings.

She will talk about Plan Bs, publishing a first book in her 40s and about what lies ahead.

We can't wait, Lénia!
