About this FieldTrip

AI is reshaping how videos get made, and it’s not all generative. Knowing where it actually fits in your workflow is a different question.

In this session, we’ll explore practical ways to use AI in every step of the filmmaking process, from storyboarding and moodboarding with Firefly Boards, to faster edits in Premiere, to sound mix and color.

Expect a mix of live demos and practical tips. You’ll leave with tools worth trying on your next project and a sharper sense of when AI helps (and when it doesn’t).

Agenda

  • We'll start with a map of the full video-making workflow and where AI fits at each stage, from idea to final delivery.

  • We'll go live in Firefly Boards to see how AI speeds up moodboarding and storyboarding.

  • We'll demo Premiere's AI editing tools, including text-based editing and Enhance Speech, and talk about where these actually save hours.

  • We'll look at AI-assisted color and sound workflows, plus a few other AI tools worth knowing.

  • We'll wrap with a quick take on when to use AI and when to skip it, followed by Q&A.

  • You'll come away with a list of tools worth trying and workflows you can test on your next project.

What to know or bring

  • I will be demoing Firefly Boards and Adobe Premiere. It is optional if participants want to follow along!

How to make the most of FieldTrips

The FieldTrips experience is defined not only by what the host has to share, but also by how we show up individually and collectively. The way we show up impacts our capacity to be moved, inspired, and activated.

Show up fully

Get ready to be immersed! Engage with smiles, nods, waves, emojis. Share in the chat. Get cozy. Turn off notifications. Sip your favorite beverage.

Stay curious

Wear your beginner’s hat. Go with the flow. Welcome the stumbles and fumbles. Congratulate yourself for trying. Keep going! 

Celebrate your host

Our hosts are members of the CreativeMornings community—just like you! Everyone comes to this with different backgrounds—a lot of our hosts have never done anything like this before! And we love that! Cheer them on when something goes awry and when it goes perfectly.
