Lindsay Varty

Local author Lindsay Varty is half-British, half-Macanese and was raised in Hong Kong. Now a writer and professional rugby player for the city, she lives and breathes Hong Kong and is fascinated by its culture and history. As a young girl, her parents wanted their children to discover the real Hong Kong and to know its people. Sunset Survivors is a tribute to that wish and a celebration of Hong Kong's people and unique cultural identity. The book has since been featured on CNN, The Guardian, SCMP and more. She now gives lectures and runs local walking tours which focus on the subject of Hong Kong's Sunset Industries.
