Marshall Norris

Marshall Norris, an Arizona native, was raised in Northern Arizona before going to high school and college in the valley. Although having an education background in Architecture and Environmental Science, he worked in retail and grocery management from his late teens to mid-twenties. It was in his early twenties when he developed a passion for beer, for the science of beer, and thanks to a close friend, making the bubbly treat.

He began professionally brewing in late 2014 and has since worked at numerous breweries across the state and in various positions. For short stints, he worked in beer sales and in mobile packaging, gaining valuable insight to all tiers of the industry system. After working with his friend and business partner for years, Simple Machine finally opened in November 2019, with the grand opening in January 2020. The rest of 2020 proved to be a volatile year for all kinds of business, but thankfully due to previous experience and relationships, Simple Machine was able to pivot rapidly and adapt to the changing environment. They look forward to celebrating their two year anniversary in January 2022.
