About the speaker

Megan is co-owner of Willoughby Design, a legacy woman-owned branding agency founded in 1978 by Ann Willoughby and purchased by Megan and Nicole Satterwhite in 2016.

Specializing in the brand strategy and voice side of the business, Megan has led a large range of brand identity, consumer packaged goods and retail experience projects. Whether infusing new energy to help brands compete or creating new brands from the ground up, she brings leadership teams together to around shared vision to create brand experiences that .

Megan’s national clients have ranged from Lee Jeans, Dixie, Hershey's and Pet Supplies Plus to the United Nations. Forever Kansas City loyal, Megan is proud of Willoughby’s contribution to building local brands including Visit KC, KC Chamber, RideKC, KC Pet Project and most recently Roy Blunt Luminary Park, which is currently in progress. As a lifelong soccer player and passionate advocate for the advancement of women, the naming and branding of the Kansas City Current was a bucket list kind of project.

Megan’s work has received numerous local and national awards and she is a regular speaker on brand design and the creative process. She has served on several boards and committees and has donated services to a large range of not-for-profit organizations, from Operation Breakthrough, NonProfit Connect and Cultivate KC to Kansas City Girl’s Preparatory Academy. She is a recent graduate of the Helzberg Entrepreneurial Mentorship Program class of 2021 and remains active with the organization as a fellow serving on the marketing committee. At home, she's the proud mom of two amazing sons, Jet and Rhys, and two adorable dogs, Lexi and Lou. And grandmother to Kirby the leopard gecko.

We will be meeting in Vanderslice Hall which is right at the back of the cul-de-sac when entering campus from the West entrance.

You may park on campus in the South Parking Lot shown on this map south of the KCAI Underground (9) and Painting building (17). Visitors are also welcome to park on the streets around campus.
