Mika Schalks on ‘Path'

Mika Schalks (1998) is an artist and designer working in the fields of film, stop motion animation, printed media and graphic design. Through the combination of analogue techniques and digital media, he creates visual narratives around themes of queerness and arbitrary social norms.
Since 2021, Mika has been a regular collaborator within the art department of the award winning stop-motion animation studio Holy Motion, where he designs and builds miniature sets and graphic props.
