Vision is so personal and we are extremely excited to welcome on our CreativeMornings Timisoara stage and speaker community a creative spirit that fuels the learning communities in Timisoara - Monica Diaconu <3
She is part of the civic initiative group of parents in Timișoara who dared to re-imagine another possible life for children, teachers and parents in the system which we call SCHOOL. In 2016 they co-founded Babel School in Timisoara, now an accredited institution by the Romanian government, offering innovative formal education to more than 400 children aged 6-18.. The community of parents dreaming of a democratic, healthy, respectful place for children has grown over time and created an inspiring environment in two brand new school buildings designed with the vision of what the School of the Future could look like. Monica’s dream is to see more and more educational communities being transformed by the power of authentic dialogue and collaboration around learning and healthy growth. A teacher of English and Dutch, educator, and mentor for teachers, Monica creates authentic learning contexts, where everybody rediscovers the joy of growing together.
