Rosa shared her top tips with us: just like in a dance club, movement starts to spread quickly if it´s simple, clear and easy to follow

About the speaker

To move. To influence. To push forward. Rosa Meriläinen, our next CreativeMornings/Helsinki speaker, invites you to connect and reflect on this month’s global theme, Movement.

Currently a lobbyist for the cultural sector, Rosa is also known as an author, co-founder of Feminist Think Tank Hattu, and former Member of Parliament. As the Secretary General of KULTA ry, a central organization for Finnish culture and arts associations, Rosa seeks to move things forward with advocacy work aimed at increasing the culture budget, growing creative industries, and promoting cultural wellbeing.

How to imagine and initiate positive change, even at a time when chances of securing support for creative work may appear slim? In what ways does Rosa’s overarching aim of ensuring emancipation for all – and especially young women – tie in with her work? Plus, what’s ‘kehtaaminen’ got to do with it all?

Get inspired, ask questions, voice your views: we can’t wait to see you at the Design Museum in Helsinki! Breakfast, along with potential new best buddies, is served at 8.15 am. Talk takes off at 9 am. See you soon, creative chum.
