What are Clubs?
CreativeMorning Clubs are community-led, hyper-local, intimate gatherings around something you love.
Clubs can be recurring or drop-in and can range from hobbies and hang-outs, to skill-building and anything in between.
📸PhotograPals Club: The Color Hunt Photo Series Part 2
• – • New York, 10022
About this Club
One of the best things you can do in this city is go for a walk, and a lot of people choose to do it with a camera. Sometimes, that experience is nicer when you have company with you!
This is part of a series of Color hunt photowalks we’ll be doing throughout the nice weather! This walk has the intention of having a color assigned, and taking photos relating to that color. For this walk, we’ll be doing it in teams!
The PhotograPals aims to be a photography club that celebrates the joy of taking photos and sharing/talking about them. For a lot of creatives who also work professionally, sometimes we tend to get stuck in the business part. This space hopes to create an intention of enjoying the photographic process itself in a social setting.
See what it’s like for yourself!
✨WHAT TO EXPECT
✔️ We start out at meeting spot / cafe for our introductions. After intros and describing the walk, we’ll take to the streets and go for a walk, taking photos and having conversations along the way.✔️ It’s open to all skill levels and involvement with the hobby, whether you’re a professional working photographer to someone that dabbles, or even if you don’t consider yourself a photographer but enjoy taking photos on your phone.
✔️ ALL cameras are welcome, from Digital to Mirrorless, Film and Phone, bring your niche cameras if you want! The most important thing is the camera that lets you have fun.
🎒WHAT TO KNOW OR BRING
✔️ Bring Your camera of choice and comfortable footwear. If there’s rain on the forecast, an umbrella just in case!✔️ Feel free to grab a coffee or drink from the meeting location to bring on the walk so please consider showing some love to local businesses!
ABOUT YOUR HOST
I’m a creative based in Brooklyn who enjoys going on long walks and taking photos. I wanted to create a space for photography where the community doesn’t focus on gear / camera talk or on making money / marketing side, but on the foundational joy of the craft and the pursuit of self-expression.
