Angela Mickens

Angela Mickens is a passionate and talented poet who uses her writing as a way to heal and make sense of the world. After experiencing heartbreak, Angela turned to poetry as a way to process her emotions and find solace. Her work is raw, honest, and deeply personal, exploring themes of love, loss, and the human condition. She has a unique voice and a deep understanding of the power of words, using her poetry as a way to connect with others and inspire hope. She is a program director for On the Road Collaborative, a non-profit afterschool program at Kate Collins Middle School and Waynesboro High School. She loves playing basketball, coaching, mentoring, and spending time with loved ones.
